Association for Futures Research & Quality of Life Studies

"Quality of life" is a very complex concept that encompasses both the quality of the social, economic, ecological, technological and political conditions of life, as well as the subjective evaluation of these conditions and the individual life satisfaction.

One of the most important factors of quality of life is 'health', both in a structural sense (e.g., health policy, health-related infrastructure, healthy environment ...) and in terms of individual life satisfaction.

In view of this complexity, scientific quality of life studies refer to a wide range and diversity of topics, which in most cases can only be researched interdisciplinarily. In the “Association for Futures Research & Quality of Life,” several scientists cooperate that research selected aspects of this broad spectrum of topics with regard to probable, plausible, and desirable futures, e. g.:
